This Privacy Notice explains how we process and protect the Personal Information we collect about you when you use our products and solutions, use a HARMAN website or application from which you access this Privacy Notice (a “Site” or “Sites”), provide services to HARMAN as an agent, employee, or contractor of another company that does business with HARMAN, or otherwise interact with the Company.
Depending on your relationship with us, you may receive a separate Privacy Notice that applies to Personal Information we collect in specific circumstances, such as if you participate in a product trial. The Personal Information We Collect and Our Sources
In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means information that identifies you, relates to you, describes you, or is capable of identifying you . The types of Personal Information we collect depend on your interactions with us and may include the following:
- identifiers: including your name; address; email address; telephone number; unique online identifier; Internet Protocol address (“IP address”); and account name.
- Customer records: including usernames and passwords; date of birth; payment information; sleep and health data (if you use a sleep/health-related product); and product reviews and warranty information.
- commercial information: including the names and descriptions of the products purchased; the place(s) of purchase; and the price paid for the product(s).
- biometric information: including voice recordings, from which an identifier template, such as a voiceprint, can be extracted; and fingerprint data.
- Internet or other electronic network activity information: including pages visited on a HARMAN site and links clicked; language preference; and interactions with advertisements.
- geolocation information: including geolocation information collected when you use some of our services.
- sensory information: including auditory, visual, thermal or similar information that may be related to or associated with you.
- professional or employment information: including employer, job title, certificates/diplomas obtained, and other information obtained as a HARMAN business contact.
- inferences: which are drawn from the information described above (except for information considered sensitive) to create a profile that reflects your interests, preferences, characteristics, tendencies and behavior.
Some of the information described above may be considered Sensitive Personal Information , including certain financial account numbers, biometric information, neural data, health information, and precise geolocation.
We collect Personal Information from the following sources:
- directly from you. HARMAN may collect Personal Information from you when you use our websites, apps, products or automotive solutions, register your HARMAN product, interact with the Company at a trade show, conference or other in-person event, or contact or connect with the Company, including by phone, email or through social media. We may also collect information about you when you interact with HARMAN as an agent, employee or contractor of another company that does business with HARMAN.
- Cookies and other automated technologies. We collect information through technologies such as cookies to improve our service and optimize our activities. When you access and use a Site, HARMAN and, in some cases, other third parties, collect information about how you interact with a Site. - from third parties. We may also collect information about you from a third party, including:

Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”): Companies that use our products in their vehicles.

(4) other third-party sources: including our customers and business partners, your friends and family (if, for example, we offer a referral program), device manufacturers, and others from whom you ask us to collect your information.
Why we collect and use your Personal Information
HARMAN may collect and use each category of your Personal Information listed above for the following purposes:
- providing our services: including account management, order fulfillment, running promotions and events, product registration, delivering and customizing the products and services you request, providing customer service and technical support, and responding to questions and returns.
- Marketing and advertising: including through email newsletters, digital advertising, surveys and promotions, promotional mailings and SMS.
- conducting research: including market research and analysis and internal research for technological development.
- improving our services: including evaluating and improving the online user experience and soliciting and responding to feedback.
- compliance: for example, to help us comply with the law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HARMAN, our users, or others.
- managing our relationships with suppliers, vendors and partners: including managing HARMAN's relationship with you in your role as an agent, employee or contractor of another company that does business with HARMAN.
- internal marketing purposes: including for our day-to-day operations, business record keeping, reporting and auditing activities; maintaining network and information security, verifying identity and preventing fraud; authorizing access to our systems and facilities; and reporting suspected violations.
HARMAN sometimes uses Personal Information for profiling purposes. For example, HARMAN may display advertisements and send you emails containing content automatically selected based on products you have ordered from us in the past.
We use Sensitive Personal Information only as necessary to perform the services you request or to provide the goods that an average person would reasonably expect when requesting those goods or services; to ensure security and integrity; for short-term transient use; to maintain the quality of our products and services; or for other purposes permitted by applicable law. We do not use Sensitive Personal Information for profiling or to infer characteristics about you.
Our legal basis for processing
Where required by law, HARMAN identifies a legal basis for processing your Personal Information, which may include the following:
- with your consent: if you have given your consent to the processing of your Personal Information for one or more specific purposes. This may occur, for example, when we process your sensitive Personal Information for research purposes or when we request to process your Personal Information for additional purposes.
- if necessary to comply with a legal obligation: where we are required to process your Personal Information to comply with a legal obligation to which HARMAN is subject, such as regulatory reporting and retention requirements.
- as necessary for the performance of a contract: for example, when processing your orders and payments or providing services, and to take steps, at your request, before entering into a contract with you. We may also process your Personal Information pursuant to a contract with a company with which HARMAN does business and for which you act as an agent, employee or contractor.
- where necessary for our legitimate interests: where those interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. Our interests may include:

Unless you opt out as described below, we rely on our legitimate interests to communicate with you about these products and services.
(3) Network and information security, fraud prevention and reporting of suspected crimes : In the event of fraud, a security incident or a suspected breach, we would review Personal Information that appears to be related to the incident, if necessary, to determine what happened, address it, report to authorities and prevent such a situation from happening again.
When we disclose your Personal Information
We generally disclose your Personal Information to further our business objectives, to respond to your requests, or as may be disclosed to you at the time of collection. Here are some of the ways we may disclose your Personal Information:
- Service providers: We will disclose your Personal Information to service providers who help us deliver our services. Here are some examples of the types of service providers we use:
- Data analytics: We use service providers to help us perform data analytics, including analytics about your interactions with our sites, purchases you make, and general interactions with our services.
- Payment Processors and Order Fulfillment: We use third-party order and payment processors when you purchase products from us or contact our local service providers in certain countries.
- Marketing: We may disclose your Personal Information to vendors who help us create and send marketing and promotional emails, maintain our suppression lists, and track the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. We also use third-party service providers to organize HARMAN conferences and trade shows.
It is our practice to require service providers to protect your Personal Information and not use it for purposes other than providing services to us.
- Advertising platforms: We may disclose Personal Information to advertising networks and platforms so that they can show you HARMAN advertisements on other websites and apps. These services can help us tailor advertisements that we think may be of interest to you based on your interactions with us.
- Required Disclosures: We may be required to disclose Personal Information in connection with a legal proceeding, or in response to a court order, subpoena, civil discovery request or other legal process, or as otherwise required by law.
- Compliance and Legal Protections: We may disclose your Personal Information when we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HARMAN, our users, or others. This includes exchanging Personal Information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction, as well as obtaining legal or similar professional advice.
- Business Transactions: We reserve the right to disclose and transfer your Personal Information:
(1) in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, bankruptcy, sale of substantially all of our membership interests and/or assets, or any other corporate change, including to any potential purchaser.
(2) to a subsequent owner, co-owner or operator of a successor site or service or database.
We may also disclose your Personal Information to HARMAN affiliates and subsidiaries, including across all business units, to coordinate our operations, streamline the services we provide and for other internal business purposes.
How we protect your Personal Information
The security and confidentiality of your Personal Information is important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and improper use.
For example, we use industry-standard encryption to protect certain data collections on our Sites. In addition, we have implemented access controls, data loss prevention policies, and other security procedures designed to protect Personal Information from misuse, loss, and other unauthorized activities.
Please note that despite our reasonable efforts, no security measures are ever perfect or impenetrable, so we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information. How long do we keep your Personal Information?

Your rights and choices
Your Account: If you have an account with HARMAN, you may have access to certain rights and choices within your account. Please log in to your account to view these options.
Email Opt-Out: You may cancel or modify the email communications you have opted to receive from HARMAN by following the instructions in the emails we send you. You may also email HARMAN at support@helpall0rder.com with your request, including “Unsubscribe” in the header and the email addresses to which you do not wish to receive HARMAN emails. Within a reasonable time, we will take steps to unsubscribe each email address listed.
Unsubscribe from SMS: If you receive SMS messages from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by sending STOP in response to any SMS.
Privacy Rights: Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct/complete, delete/erase, restrict processing, or obtain copies of your Personal Information. You may also have the right to request anonymity and withdraw your consent for certain processing activities. You may contact HARMAN to request to exercise rights under applicable laws at HARMAN through the HARMAN Data and Privacy Request website. HARMAN will respond to such requests as required by law.
Filing Complaints: In certain jurisdictions, you may have the right to lodge a complaint about our privacy practices with a supervisory authority.
International transfers of personal data
Because HARMAN is a global company with locations around the world, the locations from which HARMAN collects, processes, and stores your Personal Information may differ from the country in which you live. To provide services, your Personal Information may need to be accessed by or transferred to our entities and service providers worldwide, including in the United States. Children's Privacy
Our sites and services are not intended for or directed at persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons we actually know are under the age of 18, except with their proper consent. Changes to this Privacy Statement
If we change this Privacy Notice, we will post those changes on this page and update the “last updated” date of the Privacy Notice above.
